Restoration Processes

Not researched yet

This page is a placeholder for how forest restoration projects actually get planned and executed end-to-end, once we've observed real projects or interviewed practitioners. See interview template.

Questions to answer

  • What are the standard phases of a restoration project (assessment, planning, intervention, monitoring, maintenance)?
  • Who makes the call at each phase, and on what information?
  • How long does each phase typically take, and where does it stall?
  • How is a project's plan revised when conditions change (fire, drought, pest outbreak, funding shortfall)?
