Forest Squad
We're exploring a startup opportunity around forest restoration and conservation operations orchestration: helping the people and organizations responsible for restoring forests decide what needs to be done, where, when, by whom, with what resources, and how to measure outcomes over decades.
This site is our public/private knowledge hub for that exploration.
- Public (this section): our mission, the problem we're investigating, and a map of the ecosystem we're studying.
- Private workspace: the deeper opportunity thesis, market analysis, interviews, hypotheses, and operational research that back it up. It's not access-controlled yet, so treat it as unlisted rather than secret — see the access-control note before sharing the link.
Why a knowledge base first
Before we build anything, we want to understand the problem well enough to be honest about whether it's real, and where in the stack it actually sits. Every non-trivial claim in this knowledge base is expected to carry a source, a date, and a confidence level — see the claim provenance template — so the research stays falsifiable rather than becoming a pitch deck we talk ourselves into.
How to navigate
- Problem definition — the question we're trying to answer.
- Ecosystem & stakeholders — who's involved in forest restoration today.
